Wood Rope and Stone was born from a deep respect for trees, craftsmanship and the enduring beauty of natural materials. What began as a career in tree surgery evolved into something more - a calling to shape timber not only with care, but with purpose.

After years working closely with Scotland’s forests, our founder trained in traditional log building techniques and went on to source, fell and construct his own handcrafted log home from the ground up. That hands-on journey, cultivating standing trees to finished home, defines who we are today.

With many years of experience behind us, Wood Rope and Stone now offers more than log homes alone. From bespoke cabins and garden rooms to handcrafted furniture, sheds, restoration projects, and complementary stonework, our work reflects a deep understanding of material, structure, and setting.

We believe in building with intention, honouring the character of each tree and respecting the environment it came from. Every project is approached with care, skill, and quiet confidence.
